In 1946, Mount Vernon Auto Parts was founded by Robert E. Green. At that time, Mt Vernon Auto Parts catered to the needs of factories, auto dealers, implement dealers, and individuals. After almost 40 years of running the business, Robert Green retired and turned the business over to his two sons: David and Richard. David Green died in 1993, making Richard Green the sole owner and face of the business since 1993. Richard’s three children: Guy, Gordon, and Gretchen all grew up working in the family business and are still eager to help their father when needed. After over 70 years of being in business, Mount Vernon Auto Parts is still going strong. Richard Green enthusiastically encourages supporting local businesses to help sustain our community for another 200 years.
